Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ichabod Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crane's entrance music is Way of The Ninja. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ichabod Crane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brad Shaw! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crane stuffs the takedown attempt from Shaw. Shaw gets slowly back to his feet. Crane throws a sloppy head kick and Shaw moves out of range easily. Crane throws a leg kick but Shaw moved away. Shaw changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Shaw misses with a takedown attempt - Crane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Crane checks a leg kick nicely. Shaw uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Crane. Shaw feints the counter takedown. Shaw tries for a takedown but Crane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ichabod Crane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Shaw. Shaw darts in looking for a takedown but Crane gets double underhooks and turns Shaw into the cage. Some wild striking there from Shaw.
Crane throws a big counter combination but Shaw scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Shaw has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Crane is landing a low percentage of strikes. Crane slips a straight right by Shaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crane lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Shaw fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Crane swinging wildly here.
Shaw scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Crane doesn't seem bothered though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw shoots in for a takedown but Crane shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Crane misses with a two punch combination.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Shaw. Crane misses the jab. Shaw slips a jab and a cross from Crane.
Shaw keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

It looks like Brad Shaw has been cut. Crane falls off balance throwing a combination
and Shaw decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Crane's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Crane holds on and takes a little breather. Shaw tries to free his leg and advance position but Crane is retaining full guard. Shaw wants to control from the top but Crane keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crane utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Shaw won't allow Crane to sweep him here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shaw trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Crane is controlling Shaw's posture.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Crane connects with the punch. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crane throws a nice looking combination but Shaw bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Shaw takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Crane stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Crane wants it to stay on the feet. Crane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shaw circles away quickly and effectively. Crane throws a hook but Shaw blocks it. Shaw misses with a takedown attempt - Crane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A big right from Crane misses. Shaw throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. It looked like Crane was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Crane tries a low kick but Shaw avoids it. Crane looks to land a left hand but Shaw moved out of range nicely. Shaw shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Crane as he jumps to the side. Crane throwing a counter right hand but Shaw manages to avoid it. Shaw scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Crane is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Shaw jumps into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crane wants to control but Shaw postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaw wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Crane, who protects the arm well. Shaw connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Crane some visible discomfort.
Shaw creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Crane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shaw on the ground. Crane is trying to control Shaw's posture but Shaw avoids it. Crane tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Shaw wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shaw trying to control the action but Crane is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ichabod Crane dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brad Shaw's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Shaw swings for the body but Crane moves out of range.
Shaw gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Shaw keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ichabod Crane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crane throws a nice looking combination but Shaw bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A little jabbing left from Shaw on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Shaw avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Crane fails to land with a series of punches.
Crane tries to bum rush Shaw with a series of wild strikes but Shaw uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Crane looks for the body kick but Shaw saw that one coming. Shaw tries to clinch there but Crane circles away.
Shaw has managed to clinch.
Shaw tries to circle away but Crane has him pinned against the cage. Shaw working hard to break the clinch. Crane keeps control of Shaw as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Crane is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shaw can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Shaw pulls guard effortlessly. Crane sitting in guard here, content to control. Crane wants to control from the top but Shaw keeps moving. Brad Shaw has got the better of the ground game so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shaw keeping moving, preventing Crane from controlling successfully. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Shaw bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crane's guard. Crane pulls Shaw in to control the position. Crane wants to sweep here but Shaw controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crane not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Shaw postures up and lands a big shot to Crane's brow. Shaw trying to control the position from guard on top but Crane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shaw wants to pass the guard but Crane is keeping the position. Shaw postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Crane swats away the attempt to clinch by Shaw. Crane tests Shaw's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw darts in looking for a takedown but Crane gets double underhooks and turns Shaw into the cage. Crane pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Crane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shaw tries to close the distance and clinch but Crane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Crane lands a nice looking body shot.
Crane loads up on a big right hand but Shaw slips the punch. A clash of legs there as Shaw blocks the low kick. Ichabod Crane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shaw misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Crane connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Shaw is trying hard to land a takedown here. Crane sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Shaw misses with the combination.
Shaw shoots in and drives through. Crane sprawls well. Ichabod Crane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brad Shaw. Crane drops Shaw with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Shaw looks back up at him and smiles so Crane waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Shaw is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Shaw tries to close the distance and clinch but Crane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Shaw is still on wobbly legs! Can Crane finish him? Crane drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Shaw right on the button. Shaw goes down! Crane follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Crane gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ichabod Crane! After winning the bout, Ichabod Crane thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
