Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morten Guldhammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morten Guldhammer told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesse James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Morten Guldhammer! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Guldhammer as he avoids it easily. Guldhammer throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Guldhammer. James looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Guldhammer! James stands up and we're back to a striking position. James throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
James moves into the clinch. James is defending well against a takedown attempt. James is looking to break free of the clinch but Guldhammer has double underhooks. James leaning against his opponent.
Guldhammer lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. James goes for a takedown attempt but Guldhammer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Guldhammer. Those never looked like landing. James doesn't manage to clinch there - Guldhammer circles away.
Guldhammer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. James stalling in the clinch but Guldhammer improves position. James tries to pull guard but Guldhammer forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse James. That's going to take a lot out of him. Guldhammer jumps guard but James stands there with Guldhammer around his waist. Guldhammer gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

James is trying to break the clinch but Guldhammer has him pressed against the cage. James wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James is defending well against a takedown attempt. Guldhammer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. James lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Guldhammer has managed to clinch.
Guldhammer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Guldhammer throws a combination that misses and James counters with a straight punch to the midsection. James takes a shot to the body in his stride.
James avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
James shoots in for a double leg but Guldhammer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Guldhammer gets a clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! James is looking to take this one to the mat. Guldhammer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A left and a right from Guldhammer both land. Nice combination. Guldhammer drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James doesn't succeed with the takedown and Guldhammer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. James pushes Guldhammer up against the cage in a clinch. James has had enough of the clinch but Guldhammer keeps him there for the moment. Guldhammer putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has James in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Guldhammer with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Guldhammer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. James has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Guldhammer clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! James controlling from the back. James struggling to keep hold of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Guldhammer defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. James is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Guldhammer has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Guldhammer defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Guldhammer is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse James dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Guldhammer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from James. Guldhammer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Guldhammer scores with a hook to the body. Guldhammer drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

James prevents a body shot from Guldhammer. James wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
James jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Guldhammer walks away with a smile on his face. James gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Guldhammer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse James. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. James shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Guldhammer's guard. Guldhammer has momentary wrist control but James slips an elbow through the middle. Guldhammer keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully. James is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. James slips nicely into half guard. James content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guldhammer is looking for a sweep. James is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. James decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. James leaves Guldhammer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Guldhammer is breathing heavily. James will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
James fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guldhammer sprawls well initially but James persists and gets the takedown into half guard. James is keen to just control but Guldhammer is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James passes to full mount! James wants to control the pace but Guldhammer is squirming around nicely. James is standing up, even though he is in mount. Morten Guldhammer seems to be getting the better of the standup. A punch combination from Guldhammer misses. An attempted straight right counter from James misses the target. James tries to clinch but Guldhammer is having none of it. James misses with a low kick as Guldhammer jumps back. Guldhammer tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center. James lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by James.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James pushes Guldhammer up against the cage in a clinch. Guldhammer is fighting off a takedown attempt but James is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Guldhammer to the mat. Guldhammer regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Guldhammer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. James pushes down on Guldhammer's leg and manages to get into half guard. Jesse James overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. James keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. James is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Guldhammer can do to turn this around? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. James wants to take a breather but Guldhammer is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James shoots in and drives through. Guldhammer sprawls well. Guldhammer gets in close and instigates a clinch. Guldhammer has James pushed against the cage. James is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Guldhammer is defending well for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Guldhammer is looking to get back to is feet but James passes into side control.
James has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Guldhammer is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. James yanks on the arm and Guldhammer is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by James.
