Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Quinn Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Rocher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quinn Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Rocher!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocher swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Rocher misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Rocher closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rocher wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.
Jones wants to get back to full guard.
Jones trying to hold on to Rocher's head to control him but Rocher postures up.

Rocher feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Rocher changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Rocher cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Rocher takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

and Rocher counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rocher.

Rocher ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rocher no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Rocher gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Rocher fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rocher shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Rocher counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rocher.

Rocher might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Horrible takedown by Rocher or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad.
