Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alonso Best (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Shiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alonso Best! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsuya Shiba! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shiba takes the fight into the clinch. Best stalling the fight.
Shiba decides to pull guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Best engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Shiba trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Best won't allow Shiba to get back to his feet. Shiba working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Best showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Best might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shiba has his hands on Best's head, controlling the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Shiba uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Best. Best shoots in looking for a takedown but Shiba manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Best's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Shiba closes the distance and pushes Best back into the cage. Shiba creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Best's defenses.
It looks like Alonso Best has been cut. Shiba escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Best is looking to break free of the clinch but Shiba has double underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Best pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tatsuya Shiba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Best waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shiba. Best really is a fat lump. Best shoots in for a takedown but Shiba shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Shiba clinches. Shiba tries to land a knee to the head but Best blocks with his arms.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Best throws a big elbow that misses. Shiba is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Best is aware though and is defending well. Best wants to stand but Shiba is controlling his posture from full guard. Best is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Shiba looking to score a takedown here. Best is defending well but Shiba drives through and ends up in Best's guard. Shiba must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Best looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Shiba is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Best throws his legs up looking for a submission but Shiba uses it to pass to side control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Shiba has closed the distance and engaged Best in a clinch.
Shiba has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Best uses from the top position. Shiba wants to sweep here but Best controlling him for the moment. Best controlling from the top position.

Best is stalling in the full guard. Best drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shiba manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Best has Shiba in his guard.

Shiba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Best swivels though and keeps the full guard. Best looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Shiba has picked Best up and slammed him! Best can't keep hold of the triangle and Shiba manages to pass to side control! Best wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Shiba looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Best is looking to reverse the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Best is not content to let Shiba control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tatsuya Shiba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Alonso Best's cut. That's time! Best's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Shiba clinches up against the cage. Shiba has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Best clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Shiba has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Shiba struggling to keep hold of the position.
Shiba doesn't have the hooks in and Best manages to turn into his guard.
Shiba working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Best doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Best manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Best sitting in guard, not really doing much. Shiba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Best postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Shiba is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Best, into his guard.
