Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Furious George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George comes to the cage accompanied by Lamb of God - Descending. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Furious George! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguel Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hernandez ducks right into an uppercut from George. Hernandez changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. George staying out of range there. George looks to land a right hand but Hernandez moved out of range. And Hernandez tries to counter it with a takedown but George pushes his down on his head and steps out. Hernandez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hernandez lands in his opponent's guard. Hernandez postures up.
Hernandez working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. George has his hands on Hernandez's head, controlling the position. Hernandez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. George controls Hernandez momentarily but Hernandez frees himself. George has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Hernandez throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. George bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hernandez's guard. George wants to control from the top but Hernandez keeps moving. George distracts Hernandez with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. George pushing down on Hernandez's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Hernandez looking for submissions off his back. Hernandez is looking to control George's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hernandez avoid being mounted? George is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hernandez sees it coming and defends easily. George wants to take a breather but Hernandez is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hernandez throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. George is working for a submission of some sort.
Hernandez is not content to let George control the position. Hernandez regains full guard. Nicely done. George is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hernandez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Hernandez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from George. Nice shot by George. Nice sprawl there from Hernandez as George shoots in. Miguel Hernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hernandez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. No joy there for George, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And Hernandez tries to counter it with a takedown but George pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. George throws a nice looking combination but Hernandez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. George lunges at Hernandez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hernandez's hand. George circles away from the clinch attempt.
George misses with a few strikes there.
Hernandez avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Good leg kick by Hernandez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hernandez lands with a kick to the ribs.
George throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! George throws a series of punches but Hernandez moves out of range. Hernandez with the counter takedown but George avoids it easily. George takes one to the side of the head.
George scores with a takedown into Hernandez's guard. George has gone for a leg lock! Hernandez slips out almost immediately though and dives into George's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Furious George dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A head kick misses from Hernandez. Hernandez slips under a jab from George. Hernandez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in George's half guard. George wants to improve his position but Hernandez is controlling well.
Hernandez is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, George has managed to free his arm - good work. George moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hernandez advances to half guard. Miguel Hernandez has got the better of the ground game so far. George moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hernandez working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. George wants to improve his position but instead Hernandez has moved into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hernandez misses with a head shot. George uses the momentum to regain guard. George is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hernandez defends well. Hernandez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. George escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hernandez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hernandez looking to sit in guard and control but George gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. George stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hernandez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hernandez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. George content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. George trying to control the position from guard on top but Hernandez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. George is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hernandez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Hernandez is looking for a triangle here but George uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. George is looking to take a break and control but Hernandez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. George thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. George is trying to get an arm triangle but Hernandez is defending well. George trying to control the action but Hernandez is working from the bottom. Hernandez is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hernandez throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
George has an Americana. Hernandez didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! George is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if George hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
