Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marc Zietsch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vesa Sykk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sykk has chosen Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marc Zietsch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vesa Sykk!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sykk takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Vesa Sykk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A shot to the liver by Sykk. Beautiful body shot.
Good standup being displayed there by Sykk as he connects with a hook.
Zietsch misses with a body kick.
A head kick from Sykk lands but Zietsch takes it in his stride.
It looks like Marc Zietsch has been cut.
Zietsch is looking to land body kicks.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Zietsch.
A head kick misses from Sykk.
Zietsch misses with a body kick.
Zietsch tries to land a leg kick but Sykk saw it coming and moves away.
Zietsch blocks the body kick.

Zietsch throws a leg kick but Sykk moved away.

Sykk pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A jab from Zietsch misses.
Sykk fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Sykk misses with a lunging right hand
and Zietsch counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Zietsch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sykk keeps working.
Sykk is trying to get back to full guard.
Sykk is staying active underneath Zietsch, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sykk is trying to control but can't.
Zietsch is trying to control the action in half guard but Sykk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zietsch thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sykk's head.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Sykk is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Zietsch pulls his head out easily.
Sykk trying to hold on to Zietsch's head to control him but Zietsch postures up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Zietsch is looking to land body kicks.
Zietsch connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Sykk scores with a kick to the body.
Zietsch looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sykk checks a leg kick.
Sykk lands with an uppercut that bounces Zietsch off the cage and back into range.
Sykk gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Zietsch manages to break the clinch.

A slapping leg kick lands for Sykk.
Sykk misses with an uppercut.
Zietsch drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sykk sprawls and moves away.
Zietsch misses with a body shot.
Sykk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Zietsch on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Sykk plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Sykk misses with a straight right.
It looked like Zietsch wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Sykk on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Zietsch. Zietsch obviously looking to wear him down.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sykk.
Sykk connects with a solid leg kick.
Zietsch throws a shot from downtown. Sykk moves away and avoids it.
Zietsch walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sykk checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circle, before Sykk throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Zietsch's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Sykk lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Vesa Sykk!
Vesa Sykk decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
