Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davis Macdonnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ding Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Macdonnell.
Macdonnell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Macdonnell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Macdonnell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dong tries to avoid it but Macdonnell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dong to the ground. Dong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Macdonnell has taken the fight to the clinch.
Macdonnell is trying to break free.
Dong manages to pull guard.
Dong wants to stand up but Macdonnell is controlling him.
Dong wants to sweep here but Macdonnell controlling him for the moment.
Dong had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Macdonnell is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dong Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Macdonnell's back instead.
Macdonnell is trying to get back to his feet but Dong has full control of the position and if anything, Macdonnell has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Macdonnell has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Dong is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Macdonnell. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Dong controlling the positon.
Dong is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Macdonnell is defending well though. Dong let's go of the attempt for now.

Dong lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Macdonnell.
Macdonnell covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Macdonnell grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Dong has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Macdonnell has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
I really don't envy Macdonnell right now.
Dong has Macdonnell flattened out and is raining down punches.
Dong is working the ground and pound. Can Macdonnell escape?
Dong slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Macdonnell wants to escape the position.
Macdonnell controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Macdonnell wants to control his opponent's hands but Dong gets his hands free.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dong lands strikes to the head.

Dong controls the action.
Dong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Macdonnell is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Dong gets his way!

Ding Dong dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Macdonnell tries to clinch up but Dong circles away and keeps his distance.
Macdonnell is looking to clinch but Dong is avoiding it.
Ding Dong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Macdonnell closes the distance and clinches up with Dong, looking for a takedown. Macdonnell pushes Dong against the cage but Dong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Macdonnell counters by clinching up.

Davis Macdonnell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ding Dong.
Macdonnell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dong instigates a clinch.
Dong has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Macdonnell is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Dong jumps guard and drags Macdonnell to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Dong pushes Macdonnell off and scrambles back to his feet.

Macdonnell tries to clinch
and Dong counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Dong trying to control but Macdonnell is working from the bottom.
Dong avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Macdonnell looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Dong puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Dong passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Macdonnell!

Dong landing strikes from the mount and Macdonnell is in trouble!
Dong has control of Macdonnell's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Macdonnell regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Macdonnell is bucking up trying to escape but Dong cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dong cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The referee warns Macdonnell that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Dong get's back to his feet.
Macdonnell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Macdonnell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Dong counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Macdonnell not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dong trying to control the position from guard on top but Macdonnell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dong in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Dong is working Macdonnell over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Dong throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dong drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Macdonnell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dong has Macdonnell in his guard.
Dong has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Macdonnell doesn't defend quickly enough and Dong has managed to lock this one up! Can Macdonnell escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dong on a fantastic submission victory.
