The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byers leaves Bishop with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bishop shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Byers defends it nicely.
Byers misses with a double jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bishop tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Byers defends well and Bishop ends up having to push Byers into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lenard Bishop. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Byers misses with a wild combination.

Bishop shoots for a takedown but Byers saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Byers lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Bishop falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
