The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock scores with the left hand. Masters knows he should have avoided that one.
Rock throws a low kick, looking for Masters's leg but Masters calmly moves out of range.
Masters shoots in but Rock avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rock changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Rock lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Masters misses with the combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Masters.
Rock drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Masters defends it well.
Masters is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Masters gets caught flat footed, as Rock shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rock throwing strikes but missing.
Masters knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rock on the ground.
Rock postures up in Masters's guard and throws a big left but Masters blocks it.

Rock wants to control from the top but Masters keeps moving.
Rock is looking to work some ground and pound but Masters has wrist control.
Rock chips away with some ground and pound.
Rock's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Rock throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Masters works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Masters gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rock pushing down on Masters's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Rock scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Rock content to control rather than advance.
Rock has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Masters won't allow Rock to pass to mount.

Rock is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Masters sees it coming and defends easily.
Rock throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rock is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Rock looking to isolate an arm here. Masters doesn't see it coming and as Rock extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Rock!
