Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alavarez closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Robinson closes the distance and clinches up with Alavarez, looking for a takedown. Robinson pushes Alavarez against the cage but Alavarez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Robinson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alavarez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Alavarez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Alavarez lands a jab.
Alavarez throws a combination. Robinson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Robinson fails with the takedown
and Alavarez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackson Robinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Robinson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Robinson shoots in and bounces Alavarez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Robinson won't allow Alavarez to sweep him here.
Alavarez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Robinson wants to control from the top but Alavarez keeps moving.
Alavarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Robinson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Alavarez is working an open guard so Robinson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Robinson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alavarez as he avoids it easily.
Saul Alavarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alavarez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Alavarez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Robinson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Alavarez throws a half hearted mid kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Robinson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Alavarez lands with a nice combination. Robinson backs away looking to recover.
Alavarez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Robinson as he avoids it easily.

Robinson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Robinson wants to clinch.
Robinson tries to work over Alavarez's front leg with a kick but Alavarez checks it.
Alavarez works over Robinson's head and body with a nice combination.
Alavarez throws a wild body kick that Robinson sees coming a mile off.
Robinson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Alavarez avoids it really well and circles away.
Alavarez wants to clinch
and Robinson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alavarez won't be happy with that.

Alavarez gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Robinson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Alavarez holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Robinson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Alavarez is trying to reverse the position but instead Robinson has taken his back - oops!
Robinson has his arm under Alavarez's chin here. Game over son! Robinson squeezes tightly and Alavarez is forced to tap out!
