Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josef Dellal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Abe Goldman!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dellal takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Goldman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Dellal stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Goldman.
Dellal takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dellal staying out of range there.
Goldman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dellal manages to avoid it.
Goldman just misses with a punch to the body.
Good leg kick by Goldman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goldman moves into range and connects with a jab.
Dellal misses with a takedown attempt
and Goldman counters with a slapping leg kick.

Goldman throws a jab but it's blocked by Dellal.
Dellal changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Goldman is looking to chop away at Dellal's legs.
Goldman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dellal.
Goldman connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.


It looks like Josef Dellal has been cut.
Goldman throws a head kick but Dellal moves out of range.

Dellal shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Goldman's guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Goldman in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dellal wants to get back to full guard but Goldman has passed into side control.
Dellal tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Goldman in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Dellal manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

A head kick from Goldman lands but Dellal takes it in his stride.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dellal tries for a takedown but Goldman circles away easily
and Dellal takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dellal looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
As Dellal backs off Goldman throws a huge counter combo but Dellal manages to avoid it all.
A lazy left from Goldman finds it's target.
Dellal fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goldman avoids it really well and circles away.

Goldman looks to land a right hand but Dellal moved out of range.
Goldman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Goldman lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Goldman scores with a hook to the body. Dellal takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Dellal shoots in looking for a takedown but Goldman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dellal's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Goldman raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Dellal takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Goldman throws a one two combo.
Dellal will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Goldman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dellal sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dellal takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


Josef Dellal's cut is getting worse.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dellal.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Goldman counters with an outside leg kick.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Dellal uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Goldman.
Dellal shoots in for a takedown but Goldman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Goldman lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Goldman stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Goldman looks to land a right hand but Dellal moved out of range.
Dellal tries for a takedown but Goldman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Dellal changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goldman tries to avoid it but Dellal manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goldman to the ground. Goldman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Goldman is pushing Dellal's head away, looking to escape. Dellal manages to hold on to the position though.

Dellal thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
