Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Islander Zac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khalid Haji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Islander Zac has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Islander Zac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Khalid Haji! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zac tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Haji feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Zac is trying to keep Haji in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Haji looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Haji pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zac is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haji throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zac works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zac working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Haji has passed into half guard!
Zac knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Haji on the ground. Zac is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Haji jumps into side control! Zac is looking to regain half guard here but Haji keeps moving and retains side control. Haji in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Haji decides to stand back up. Zac doesn't manage to clinch there - Haji circles away.
Zac throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Haji's waist but Haji gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zac off to one side. Haji fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Zac, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zac on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Haji tries to pull guard but Zac forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Zac fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Haji jumps into guard, dragging Zac to the mat.
Haji punching from the bottom. Zac trying to control but Haji is working from the bottom. Haji trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Haji looking for a guillotine here but Zac defends easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Haji uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Zac. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Islander Zac. That's going to take a lot out of him. Haji circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zac really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Zac takes the fight into the clinch. Zac tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Haji smiles and moves away.
Zac is looking to clinch but Haji is avoiding it.
Haji closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Haji lands in his opponent's guard. Haji drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Haji jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haji with a nice head shot there. Zac working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Haji. Haji slips nicely into half guard. Zac tries to get to full guard but Haji has control of the leg. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Haji wants to pass the guard but Zac is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Khalid Haji dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Zac doesn't manage to clinch there - Haji circles away.
Haji keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Zac with a poor takedown and Haji counters with a solid body kick. Zac fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Islander Zac. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zac avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zac feinted there with a counter leg kick. Zac fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zac has his takedown stuffed and Haji counters with a stiff right hand. Haji lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Haji, right into the meat.
No luck for Haji with that takedown attempt. Haji tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zac paws at him with a jab and circles away. Zac shoots in and drives through. Haji sprawls well. Zac fails with an attempt to clinch.
Haji shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Zac napping and manages to drive through into side control! Zac on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Zac tries to improve position but can't. Haji is looking to take a break and control but Zac is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Haji is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Zac has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haji has hold of Zac's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Zac seems comfortable defending it but Haji has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Zac is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Zac is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Haji couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Khalid Haji!
