Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rubin Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lance Fisher has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rubin Stone's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rubin Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lance Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fisher misses with an attempted mid kick.
It looked like Stone wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Fisher keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Fisher closes the distance and clinches.

Fisher breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fisher has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fisher there as he acknowledges the shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Stone misses with a takedown attempt - Fisher sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fisher's coach down at Tsar's Iron Addicts Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fisher's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Rubin Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fisher seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Stone tries for a takedown but Fisher circles away easily

so Fisher counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fisher has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Stone is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stone wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A control attempt from Stone but he's now mounted!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fisher with shots to the head and body - Stone looks very uncomfortable down there.
Stone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stone is squirming around, avoiding Fisher's attempts to control the action.
Stone is just holding on here. Fisher manages to take his back.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Fisher's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Lance Fisher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Stone goes for a double leg but Fisher avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fisher continues to drive forward.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fisher wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stone keeps working.
Stone manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fisher's best efforts.

Stone is trying to maintain the position but Fisher is very close to passing his half guard.
Stone is concentrating on defense, preventing Fisher from advancing position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Still in half guard, Fisher seems content to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stone shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fisher eats them both and turns towards Stone to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Fisher is trying to trip Stone. He has hold of a leg but Stone is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Fisher persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stone is on top in guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lance Fisher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fisher has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
