Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray swats away the attempt to clinch by Egeland.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Murray avoids the head kick by Egeland.
Egeland dips to his left and cracks Murray with an uppercut!
Murray slips under a jab from Egeland.
Murray connects with a looping right hand.
Egeland shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Murray's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Murray has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Egeland can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Egeland walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Egeland limp body while Murray jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lee Murray!
An intense looking Lee Murray took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Was that one of the worlds best fighters I just beat? Wow!'.
