Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lee Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Egeland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Egeland has chosen Jan Egeland as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lee Murray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jan Egeland! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murray swats away the attempt to clinch by Egeland. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Murray avoids the head kick by Egeland.
Egeland dips to his left and cracks Murray with an uppercut! Murray slips under a jab from Egeland. Murray connects with a looping right hand.
Egeland shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Murray's guard. Egeland chips away with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murray wants to sweep but no luck. Murray has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Egeland can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Murray keeping moving, preventing Egeland from controlling successfully. Murray utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murray is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Murray tries to land a sweep but no joy. Egeland throws an elbow that misses. Murray uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Egeland's guard. Nice move by Murray! Egeland looking for a sweep. Not yet Egeland, not yet. Egeland looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Murray puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Murray is trying to control. Egeland wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Murray has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Egeland preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Egeland is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Egeland is staying active underneath Murray, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Egeland is looking to improve his position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Murray throws a right and a left that both miss. Egeland dives in and grabs Murray's left leg, looking for a takedown. Murray pushes down on Egeland's head and hops out. Murray staying out of range there. Murray appears to be looking for a big counter. Egeland slips under a jab from Murray. Egeland tries to clinch enabling Murray to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murray throws a chopping leg kick but Egeland manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Murray cracks Egeland with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Egeland throws a leg kick and Murray counters with an inside leg kick. Murray checks the leg kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Egeland. Murray lands the left hand. Egeland throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. A jab from Murray does it's job there.
Egeland is rocked! Egeland walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Egeland limp body while Murray jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lee Murray! An intense looking Lee Murray took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Was that one of the worlds best fighters I just beat? Wow!'.
