Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leopold Raskalnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanner kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Cleveland Rocks. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shane Tanner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leopold Raskalnikov! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanner throws a jab when Raskalnikov was well out of range. Tanner lands with an uppercut that bounces Raskalnikov off the cage and back into rage. Tanner keeps the fight on the outside. Raskalnikov is looking to clinch but Tanner is avoiding it.
Raskalnikov just misses with a punch to the body.
Raskalnikov moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Tanner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Tanner misses with a takedown attempt - Raskalnikov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Raskalnikov darts in and clinches Tanner up against the cage. Raskalnikov lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Shane Tanner has been cut. Raskalnikov looking to stall.
Raskalnikov has had enough of the clinch but Tanner keeps him there for the moment. Raskalnikov tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Tanner wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Tanner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Raskalnikov shoots in but no luck this time. Tanner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tanner scores a takedown into full mount! Tanner trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Tanner there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Raskalnikov wants to hold on but Tanner pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raskalnikov taking shots to the head. Tanner is breathing heavily. Tanner connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Raskalnikov is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The referee warns Raskalnikov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Tanner has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Raskalnikov's face.
Raskalnikov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tanner lands a heavy elbow. Tanner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raskalnikov's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Tanner is landing with some decent strikes but Raskalnikov is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Tanner with good strikes from the mount here! Tanner has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Raskalnikov is forced to tap!
