Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Strzelba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Helio Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marcin Strzelba! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strzelba shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gracie napping and manages to drive through into side control! Strzelba wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy. Gracie is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Strzelba off and has taken his back! Gracie looking to break Strzelba's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Strzelba remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Gracie will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Gracie has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Strzelba has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Strzelba wants to escape the position.
Strzelba is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Gracie off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Gracie is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Strzelba has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Strzelba fending off the submission attempt from Gracie.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Strzelba.

Strzelba manages to reverse the position and now he's in Gracie's guard. Nice work there by Strzelba.
Gracie lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Gracie postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie passes Strzelba's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gracie is working for a kimura but Strzelba is defending it quite comfortably.
Gracie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Strzelba's head. Strzelba is trying to get back to full guard. Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Strzelba does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Strzelba is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold. Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Strzelba defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is looking to advance position but Strzelba won't allow it. Gracie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Strzelba gets full guard. Gracie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gracie prevents Strzelba from getting back to his feet. Strzelba is looking for a triangle but Gracie pushes his legs off easily.
Gracie makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gracie's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Strzelba looks winded! Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gracie forces his way into half guard. Gracie lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Strzelba is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount! Gracie lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Strzelba is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Helio Gracie dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gracie gets a clinch. Gracie is fighting off a takedown attempt but Strzelba is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gracie to the mat. Gracie regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Gracie wants to sweep but no luck. Gracie thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Strzelba got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Strzelba has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. Gracie working for submissions but it's allowed Strzelba to get to half guard.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gracie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gracie. Gracie is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Strzelba can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Strzelba is aware though and is defending well. Gracie has a closed guard, preventing Strzelba from standing up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie slips nicely into half guard. Gracie is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Gracie scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gracie lands a nice short elbow. Strzelba is breathing heavily. Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Strzelba is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie is nestled in close to Strzelba, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gracie is looking for a kimura but Strzelba is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage. Gracie missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Gracie looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Strzelba is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gracie is controlling the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Gracie moves in looking to clinch but Strzelba pushes him off. Strzelba closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
