Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Calem Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorah Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Calem Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jorah Stark!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Stark, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Stark against the cage but Stark circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Stark.
Jones can't do much from the bottom here.
Jones tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stark wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Stark happy to just control the position for now.
Jones is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones dodges the ground and pound from Stark.
Stark controls the position from side control.
Let's hope that Stark has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Stark wants to stand but Jones is controlling his arm.
Stark wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jones seems to be looking for submissions.
Jones wants to stand but Stark has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Stark is looking to escape.
Jones prevents Stark from improving his position.
Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stark does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stark trying to hold on to Jones's head to control him but Jones postures up.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Jones sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Stark defending well though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Stark tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stark fails with the takedown
and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Stark, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stark pinned against the cage. Stark gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stark tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stark to the ground. Stark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Calem Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stark looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Stark throws a head kick that misses.
Stark tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stark defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.

Stark scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Stark throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Stark finishes the takedown easily into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stark accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Stark must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Stark tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stark can do anything to dispel that myth.

Stark wants to get back to his feet.
Stark keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Stark is positioning himself well to prevent Jones advancing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones sitting and controlling from the half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jones fails with a takedown attempt.
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Stark sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Stark feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Stark changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Stark working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Stark is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Stark.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Stark from controlling successfully.

Stark wants to stand and escape but instead Jones has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Jorah Stark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Stark is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Stark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stark is looking to reverse the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
You can see the frustration on Stark's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Stark is controlling Jones's trapped leg to prevent Jones from advancing to side control.

Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stark but Stark pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Calem Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jorah Stark is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Stark has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jorah Stark comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stark has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
