Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robin Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Castinglioni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antonio Castinglioni has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Robin Palmer's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robin Palmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antonio Castinglioni!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Palmer shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Castinglioni is looking for a sweep. Palmer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Palmer connects with a nice short shot to Castinglioni's temple.

Palmer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Castinglioni is just riding it out for now. Palmer eventually gives up the hold.

Palmer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Palmer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Castinglioni sprawls well. Castinglioni wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Palmer gets slowly back to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Robin Palmer will probably get the nod.
