Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colle Stechnij (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Benson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Buck Dich. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stechnij's guard.
Benson wants to stand but Stechnij is controlling his posture from full guard.
Stechnij escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Benson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Stechnij is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stechnij is looking for a triangle here but Benson uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stechnij is looking for a sweep.
Stechnij gets back to half guard.

Benson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Stechnij is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Benson can't fight it off and eventually Stechnij manages to take the fight to the floor. Benson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! Stechnij's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A lazy left from Benson finds it's target.
Benson darts in trying to clinch
and Stechnij counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Stechnij stands and throws Benson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Stechnij is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Benson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Stechnij is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Benson is just riding it out for now. Stechnij eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close second round but I would say that Colle Stechnij will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I would just about give that final round to Steve Benson.
