Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Ivey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunner Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivey comes to the cage accompanied by Friday. Malone has chosen Jimmy Hendrix - Vodoo Child as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Ivey. Malone does a little dance to reset his feet.
Malone looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ivey throws a head kick that misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Malone misses.
Malone connects with a body shot.
Malone avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Ivey connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Ivey connects with a solid leg kick.
Ivey fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Ivey moves away from the strike by Malone.
Ivey looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Ivey misses with a body punch
and Ivey takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Malone scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Malone works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Malone uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ivey.
Phil Ivey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ivey misses with an uppercut
and Malone counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Ivey has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Gunner Malone!
A very excited looking Gunner Malone made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
