Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John McGuirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mad Raefon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raefon comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Riot - Three Days Grace kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John McGuirk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mad Raefon! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGuirk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McGuirk wants it to stay on the feet. Mad Raefon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Raefon forces McGuirk back against the cage and clinches. McGuirk stops a takedown attempt from Raefon.
Raefon is working for takedown but McGuirk is calmly controlling the position for now. John McGuirk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mad Raefon. McGuirk has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Raefon clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! McGuirk is working the ground and pound. Can Raefon escape? Raefon rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Raefon wants to get back to full guard but McGuirk has mounted him! McGuirk prevents Raefon from getting the reversal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGuirk in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

McGuirk is landing with some decent strikes but Raefon is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. McGuirk looking to control and managing it successfully. McGuirk with good strikes from the mount here!
It looks like Mad Raefon has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raefon is wriggling around trying to escape.

Mad Raefon's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mad Raefon's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). John McGuirk! John McGuirk very nearly forgot to thank Cynical Truth amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
