Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Twisted Fate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raijin Joaquin!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Fate gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fate lands a couple of elbows.
Joaquin being controlled here, momentarily.
Fate wants to pass the guard but Joaquin is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joaquin looking for a guillotine here but Fate defends easily.
Fate has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Joaquin working a defensive guard but Fate manages to pass into side control anyway.
Joaquin struggling a bit here.
Fate lands a decent elbow from side control.
Fate tries to advance to mount but Joaquin denies him.
Fate content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fate connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Joaquin some visible discomfort.
Fate advances to mount.
Fate lands a nice shot to the head.

Fate is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Joaquin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Joaquin shrugs it off.
Fate wants to control the pace but Joaquin is squirming around nicely.
Fate knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joaquin on the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by Fate.
Fate could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fate looking to control and managing it successfully.
Joaquin manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Fate is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Joaquin is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
