Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Kuznetsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuznetsov has chosen Siberia - Cold winter night whispers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ivan Kuznetsov! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Emelianenko drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kuznetsov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kuznetsov has Emelianenko pulled in close to control his posture. Emelianenko tries to free his leg and advance position but Kuznetsov is retaining full guard. Kuznetsov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emelianenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kuznetsov keeping moving, preventing Emelianenko from controlling successfully. Emelianenko controls from within his opponent's guard. Kuznetsov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. We've been hearing that Emelianenko has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emelianenko works a leg free and moves into half guard. Emelianenko works his way into side control. Kuznetsov takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Emelianenko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kuznetsov has escaped the position, nice work there. Emelianenko in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kuznetsov is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
