Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ren Hitogoroshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hitogoroshi comes to the cage accompanied by Crooked by Bassbin Twins. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lance Bishop! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop scoring well with a low kick there.
Hitogoroshi cracks Bishop with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A punch lands to the side of Hitogoroshi 's head but he takes it in his stride. Hitogoroshi misses the body punch and Bishop counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hitogoroshi won't be happy with that. Hitogoroshi prevents Bishop from improving position. Bishop is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hitogoroshi has escaped the position, nice work there. Hitogoroshi's coaches at Dead North Bombers Club have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Hitogoroshi wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hitogoroshi is looking to regain half guard here but Bishop keeps moving and retains side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hitogoroshi is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bishop gets his way!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bishop keeping moving, preventing Hitogoroshi from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bishop has Hitogoroshi pulled in close to control his posture. Hitogoroshi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bishop on the ground. Hitogoroshi scoring with punches to the head and body. Hitogoroshi looking to pass the guard. Hitogoroshi misses with a wild body shot. Hitogoroshi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Bishop shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hitogoroshi but Hitogoroshi pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hitogoroshi misses with a jab to the body

Hitogoroshi tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hitogoroshi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bishop is controlling him. Bishop passes Hitogoroshi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Bishop is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hitogoroshi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bishop working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bishop manages to hold on to the position though. Bishop has hold of Hitogoroshi's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hitogoroshi seems comfortable defending it but Bishop has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hitogoroshi is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hitogoroshi is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bishop couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lance Bishop! Lance Bishop retains his light heavyweight title! A relieved looking Lance Bishop thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. The defeated Ren Hitogoroshi had this to say: 'A Yakuza should always be prepared for death - whether his own or someone else's. Tonight was not my night, but as I am still breathing, my opponents should be aware that their lives are still in danger.'.
