Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Walter Alexander Zelaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Renner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Renner's choice of entrance music: God Particle. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Alexander Zelaya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Renner! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zelaya uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Renner. Zelaya scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Zelaya works Renner's body with a nice hook. Renner connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A chopping leg kick lands by Zelaya. Zelaya scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Zelaya throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Renner keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Zelaya. Zelaya missing with a left hand there. Renner was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Zelaya drives through and clinches with Renner against the cage.

Renner waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Zelaya. Renner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zelaya's waist but Zelaya gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Renner off to one side. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Zelaya throws a hook to the side of Renner's head but Renner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Renner appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Renner darts in looking for a takedown but Zelaya gets double underhooks and turns Renner into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Renner on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Renner fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Renner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zelaya.

Renner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Zelaya circles away. Walter Alexander Zelaya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Renner. Renner fails to land with a series of punches.
Zelaya lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Zelaya tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Zelaya has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Zelaya there as he acknowledges the shot. Renner moves away from the strike by Zelaya. Zelaya throws a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Renner swats away the attempt to clinch by Zelaya. Renner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Zelaya but Zelaya pushes him off and we're back to square one. Walter Alexander Zelaya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zelaya pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Zelaya looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Renner shoots for a takedown but Zelaya saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Renner blocks a head kick by Zelaya.
Zelaya throws a lazy right hand but Renner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. It seemed like Renner was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Zelaya tries to clinch up. Zelaya lands a jab-cross combination. Zelaya has Renner up against the cage in a clinch.
Zelaya makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Zelaya doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Renner blocks an elbow strike. Zelaya using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Renner has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Renner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Zelaya misses with a leg kick and Renner counters with a takedown into side control. Zelaya tries to get back to half guard but can't. Renner sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Zelaya is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Renner working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Renner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sloppy strikes there by Renner. Zelaya stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Zelaya tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Renner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zelaya on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Renner sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Zelaya is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zelaya misses with a double jab
and Renner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Renner lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Renner. Zelaya throws a lazy uppercut
and Renner counters with a two punch combo.
Zelaya is rocked! Zelaya misses with a body shot.
Oh Zelaya is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Zelaya misses with a left hand and Renner scores with a counter punch that sends Zelaya to the canvas! Renner smells blood - he's punishing Zelaya with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Zelaya has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeremy Renner! During a confident post fight interview, Jeremy Renner thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
