Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Pascal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yates has chosen Here comes Tecca Nina - Tech N9ne as his entrance music. Aaron Yates struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yates cracks Pascal with a right hand to the side of the head.
Yates thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Pascal if he has to take too many more of those.
Yates lands a slapping body shot.
Aaron Yates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yates tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Yates throws out a powerful jab.
Yates slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Derek Pascal has been cut.

Yates forces Pascal back against the ropes and clinches.

Yates is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
The crowd are getting on Yates's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Yates manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Yates presses Pascal against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Yates manages to break the clinch.
Yates cracks Pascal with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Pascal looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Yates finish him?

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Yates has taken the fight to the clinch.
Oh Pascal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Yates takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Pascal seems to have got his legs back now.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Aaron Yates.
Yates throws a shot to the body.
Yates stuffs the takedown attempt from Pascal. Pascal gets slowly back to his feet.
Pascal shoots in for a double leg but Yates sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Yates is looking to land body kicks.
Yates moves into the clinch successfully.
Yates has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Pascal seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Yates can turn it around.

Pascal fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Yates checks it well.

Pascal is breathing heavily.
Yates's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Yates throws a good cross that connects.
and Yates counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Pascal! He's just covering up as Yates starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
