Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyron Woodley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyron Woodley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 2, fighting out of London, Stephen Cerrone!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cerrone looks to throw the jab but Woodley is out of range.
Woodley was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Cerrone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Woodley.
Cerrone is looking for the big counter here.
Woodley throws a nice inside leg kick.
Woodley cracks Cerrone with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Woodley lands a really nice looking cross but Cerrone seems unphased.
Woodley darts in looking for a takedown but Cerrone gets double underhooks and turns Woodley into the ropes.
Woodley tries to move into range but Cerrone moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Woodley throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cerrone drops his hands momentarily and Woodley takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Woodley scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Woodley throws a right hand that Cerrone ducks under and follows up with a left that Cerrone also avoids with ease.
Cerrone uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Woodley.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cerrone goes for a double leg but Woodley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Woodley continues to drive forward.
Woodley jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Woodley misses with a few strikes there.
Cerrone takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Decent striking displayed by Cerrone there.
Cerrone checks a low kick from Woodley.
Woodley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cerrone thows a left - swing and a miss!
Woodley's corner calls for a 1-2. Woodley obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Cerrone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Woodley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Cerrone told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cerrone is on top in guard.

Woodley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cerrone tries to free his leg and advance position but Woodley is retaining full guard.
Woodley has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Cerrone drops back, looking for a kneebar! Woodley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Woodley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Woodley!

Woodley tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Cerrone gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Cerrone is trying to stand.
We've been hearing that Woodley has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Woodley in particular looking to stall.
Woodley lands strikes from half guard.
Woodley wants to free his trapped foot but Cerrone is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cerrone is trying to get back to full guard.
Woodley is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Cerrone is not content to let Woodley control the position.
Woodley prevents Cerrone from standing back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cerrone on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Cerrone is staying active underneath Woodley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Cerrone is trying to control but Woodley passes into side control!

Woodley connects with a leg kick. Cerrone looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Woodley has his takedown stuffed
and Cerrone counters with a series of strikes. Woodley will be more careful next time no doubt.
Woodley closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Tyron Woodley is winning the standup battle so far.
Cerrone misses with a takedown attempt - Woodley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Woodley throws a push kick but Cerrone slaps the foot to one side.
Woodley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cerrone was well out of range. Poor timing from Woodley.
Woodley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cerrone can do to turn this around?
Cerrone throws a one two combo.
Cerrone takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Woodley throws a hook but Cerrone blocks it.
Cerrone tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Woodley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cerrone.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Woodley throws a solid leg kick but Cerrone takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Woodley.

Cerrone pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tyron Woodley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Cerrone. No joy for Woodley on that attempt.
Woodley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cerrone.
Woodley needs to keep his hands up - Cerrone had a free shot at his head there.
Woodley slips a jab from Cerrone.
Woodley was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Woodley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cerrone moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Woodley is looking for a counter combo.

Woodley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Woodley lands in his opponent's guard.

Woodley has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cerrone to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Woodley is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cerrone pulls down on the head and he's put Woodley to sleep! This one is all over!
