Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marko Kersikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bobby TupperIII!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kersikov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
TupperIII feints a counter leg kick.
Kersikov lands a jab to the head.
Some wild striking there from Kersikov.
Kersikov fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Kersikov throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
And TupperIII tries to counter it with a takedown but Kersikov pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Kersikov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but TupperIII circles away quickly and effectively.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kersikov scores with a sloppy right hand. TupperIII should have avoided that one.

Marko Kersikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! TupperIII crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kersikov - the referee stops the clock and TupperIII gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kersikov. TupperIII manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Kersikov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but TupperIII manages to avoid it.

and TupperIII counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kersikov!

TupperIII working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

TupperIII tries for a kimura but Kersikov is defending well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kersikov manages to work his way to half guard, despite TupperIII's best efforts.

TupperIII is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

TupperIII is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kersikov is just riding it out for now. TupperIII eventually gives up the hold.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

TupperIII is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

TupperIII is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kersikov defends it well.
Kersikov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

TupperIII drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kersikov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kersikov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kersikov!

TupperIII is looking for a sweep.
Kersikov wants to lay and pray for a moment but TupperIII keeps working.
Kersikov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt TupperIII will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Kersikov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

TupperIII postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kersikov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of TupperIII, into his guard.

Kersikov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that TupperIII can do to turn this around?

Kersikov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Our spies down at at Franklin D. Bluth Memorial Supergym inform us that TupperIII has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

TupperIII is looking for a triangle here but Kersikov uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
TupperIII tries to buck Kersikov off but Kersikov is having none of it.

Marko Kersikov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kersikov landing strikes from the mount and TupperIII is in trouble!
TupperIII is still in real trouble! Can Kersikov finish him?
Kersikov postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have TupperIII in real trouble here! The ref calls for TupperIII to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
