Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Plo Koon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goran Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Plo Koon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 60 - 1, fighting out of New York, Goran Schwarzeneg! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schwarzeneg fails in his attempt to clinch. Koon throws a leg kick which misses Schwarzeneg's front leg but catches the back leg as Schwarzeneg tries to avoid it. A jab from Koon does it's job there. Koon lands a slapping body shot.
Koon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Schwarzeneg stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Koon keeps the fight on the outside. Koon is looking to counter punch. Koon lands a head kick!
Koon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Schwarzeneg crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Koon - the referee stops the clock and Schwarzeneg gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Koon. Schwarzeneg manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Schwarzeneg shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Koon defends it nicely. Koon wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Koon bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Koon scores with a leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Schwarzeneg gets caught flat footed, as Koon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Koon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schwarzeneg swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schwarzeneg keeping moving, preventing Koon from controlling successfully. Koon controls from within his opponent's guard. Koon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Koon passes easily into side control. Nice work. Koon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Koon scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Schwarzeneg to see if he's OK. Koon lands some shots froms side control. Koon working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Koon working the head with strikes. Koon in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Koon throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Koon working the head with strikes. Schwarzeneg can't do much from the bottom here. Schwarzeneg is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schwarzeneg is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Koon is controlling him well. Koon controls the position from side control. Koon creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Koon working the head with strikes. Koon is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Koon grinds an elbow into Schwarzeneg's temple. Koon scoring with punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koon working the ground and pound. Schwarzeneg takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Schwarzeneg is rocked! Koon postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Koon lands a decent elbow from side control. Schwarzeneg is still in real trouble! Can Koon finish him? Koon wants to control but Schwarzeneg is keeping him busy. Schwarzeneg seems to have recovered his senses. Schwarzeneg takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Plo Koon dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Schwarzeneg swings for the body but Koon moves out of range.
Schwarzeneg tries to clinch but Koon moves out of range. Schwarzeneg misses with a left hand and Koon counters with a nice double leg into guard. Schwarzeneg is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Plo Koon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Koon pushes down on Schwarzeneg's leg and manages to get into half guard. Koon sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Schwarzeneg defending well though. Schwarzeneg is not content to let Koon control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schwarzeneg taking some punishment here, with Koon in his half guard. Koon is pressing down on Schwarzeneg's thigh, looking to free his foot. Schwarzeneg is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koon not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Koon passes to side control. Schwarzeneg is not content to let Koon control the position. Schwarzeneg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Koon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Koon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Koon working the ground and pound from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Koon lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Schwarzeneg down.

Koon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schwarzeneg keeps working. Koon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Schwarzeneg can do to turn this around? Schwarzeneg is working to avoid the ground and pound but Koon connects with a decent elbow.
