The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valhalla lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Valhalla scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Valhalla slaps away a takedown attempt from Swalele, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Swalele looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Valhalla's coach down at MMA Sanok Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Valhalla's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

No joy there for Swalele, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Swalele takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Swalele takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mbinga Swalele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swalele tries to clinch but Valhalla is having none of it.

Valhalla uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Valhalla cracks Swalele with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Swalele crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Valhalla - the referee stops the clock and Swalele gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Valhalla. Swalele manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Valhalla clobbers Swalele with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Valhalla connects with a leg kick. Swalele looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Swalele tries to bum rush Valhalla with a series of wild strikes but Valhalla uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Swalele looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Swalele is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Valhalla drops Swalele with a huge uppercut! Swalele drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Valhalla is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
