Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucius Hodge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casper Vanderhose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Casper Vanderhose is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lucius Hodge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Casper Vanderhose!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vanderhose closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hodge quickly recovers to half guard.
Hodge is trying to get back to full guard.
Vanderhose performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Hodge trying to control but Vanderhose postures up.
Hodge is refusing to be controlled, as Vanderhose sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hodge is trying to maintain the position but Vanderhose is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vanderhose moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Hodge.
Hodge trying to remain calm as Vanderhose controls from the top position.
Hodge is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Vanderhose has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vanderhose is looking to take a break and control but Hodge is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hodge is trying to escape the position but Vanderhose is controlling the position.
Vanderhose's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Vanderhose slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vanderhose accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hodge dives in and grabs Vanderhose's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vanderhose pushes down on Hodge's head and hops out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hodge is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vanderhose's half guard.
Hodge could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Vanderhose pushes Hodge off looking to stand but Hodge dives back in and keeps control.

Hodge is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vanderhose's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vanderhose's back!

Vanderhose is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hodge gets his way!

Hodge is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Vanderhose has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Vanderhose is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
You can see the frustration on Vanderhose's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

I would just about give that final round to Casper Vanderhose.
Well Vanderhose has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
