Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denver Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brocks Lesnars (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Denver Simpson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Brocks Lesnars!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnars tries a head kick but it misses.

Simpson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lesnars manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Lesnars looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lesnars is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lesnars trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Lesnars advances to half guard.
Well, if Lesnars is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Simpson wants to control but Lesnars is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lesnars content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Simpson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lesnars is working away from the top position though.
Lesnars is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lesnars rushes Simpson and presses him up against the cage.
Simpson tries to pull guard but Lesnars holds him up against the cage and eventually Simpson drops back down to his feet.

Lesnars has clasped his hands together around Simpson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Lesnars lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Simpson down.


It looks like Denver Simpson has been cut.
Lesnars has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Simpson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Simpson really is a fat lump.
Lesnars scoring with strikes but Simpson is staying in there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simpson tries to lock up and control but Lesnars gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Simpson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Simpson is breathing heavily.

Lesnars looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Lesnars jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Simpson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brocks Lesnars dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Denver Simpson's cut.
That's time! Simpson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Horrible takedown attempt by Lesnars or perhaps it was just good defense by Simpson, which made it look bad.
Simpson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Lesnars looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Simpson darts in looking for a takedown but Lesnars gets double underhooks and turns Simpson into the cage.
Simpson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lesnars sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice takedown defense from Simpson. No joy for Lesnars on that attempt.

and Simpson counters with a left and a right that stings Lesnars.

and Simpson counters with a three punch combo that has Lesnars backing up. Lesnars nods at Simpson to acknowledge the strikes.

and Simpson counters with a left and a right that stings Lesnars.
Lesnars tries to clinch but Simpson is having none of it.

and Simpson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lesnars is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lesnars is breathing heavily.
Lesnars moves to clinch but Simpson breaks away
and Simpson counters with a left to the body.
Lesnars fails in his attempt to clinch.

Simpson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lesnars, pushing him back against the cage.

Lesnars's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Denver Simpson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lesnars gets caught flat footed, as Simpson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Simpson wants to control from the top but Lesnars keeps moving.

Simpson stops Lesnars from standing up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lesnars is on top in guard.

Lesnars is looking to work some ground and pound but Simpson has wrist control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lesnars forces his way into half guard.
Still in half guard, Lesnars seems content to control.

Simpson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lesnars pulls his head out easily.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lesnars's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Let's hope that Lesnars has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Simpson dives in for a single leg takedown but Lesnars sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Lesnars shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lesnars showed some decent athleticism there.

Lesnars is taking a breather. Simpson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Simpson manages to get to full guard.
Lesnars trying to control the position from guard on top but Simpson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lesnars drops back looking for a leg! Simpson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Simpson manages to kick Lesnars off! Lesnars jumps back into Simpson's guard.

Simpson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lesnars changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Simpson tries to avoid it but Lesnars manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Simpson to the ground. Simpson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Denver Simpson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brocks Lesnars.

Brocks Lesnars seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Simpson thuds a left hand into Lesnars's body.
Simpson misses with a series of wild punches.

Lesnars manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Simpson on his heels. He'll look to pass Simpson's guard now, I'm sure.
Brocks Lesnars has got the better of the ground game so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Simpson wants to get back to his feet but Lesnars passes into half guard.

Lesnars is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Brocks Lesnars comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lesnars has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
