Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nicky Santoro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lester Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lester Green has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Nicky Santoro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lester Green!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Green throws a sloppy head kick and Santoro moves out of range easily.
Santoro changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Santoro shoots in looking for a takedown. Green tries to sprawl out of it but Santoro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Green manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Santoro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Green moves away.
Green pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Santoro scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Green lands a front kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A low kick from Santoro is predictable there
and Green counters with a good low kick that Santoro was not able to check.
Santoro tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Santoro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Green as he jumps to the side.

Santoro tries to counter with a takedown but Green is quick to defend against it.
Green lets loose with a powerful body kick. Santoro will feel that in the morning.
Green throws a sloppy head kick and Santoro moves out of range easily.

Green has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nicky Santoro will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Santoro lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Santoro needs to keep his hands up - Green had a free shot at his head there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Santoro on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Santoro is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Green makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Green.
Santoro wants to control from the top but Green keeps moving.
Santoro postures up and lands a big shot to Green's brow.
Santoro might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Santoro got a little sloppy there for a moment and Green has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Santoro has managed to get both his arms back between Green's legs - danger averted.

Lester Green comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Green has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
