Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hale misses with a few strikes there.

Piloton looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Christian Hale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hale fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Piloton tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hale looks to score with a jab to the body but Piloton is just out of range.
Hale lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Piloton circles away quickly and effectively.

Hale scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Hale is working an open guard so Piloton takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Piloton.
Hale shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Piloton eats them both and turns towards Hale to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Hale stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Hale throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Piloton is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Piloton walks into a stiff left hand from Hale.
Piloton throws a right hand that Hale ducks under and follows up with a left that Hale also avoids with ease.

Piloton shoots in for a double leg but Hale sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Piloton counters with a stiff right hand.
Piloton darts in and clinches Hale up against the cage.

Piloton shoots for a takedown but Hale saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Christian Hale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Piloton.

Piloton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hale moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

A frustrated look appears on Hale's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hale is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Piloton to keep the fight standing.
Hale is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Piloton can do to turn this around?
Hale is fighting off a takedown attempt but Piloton is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hale to the mat. Hale regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Hale will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
