Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dorsey Valencia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Waranggai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waranggai is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dangdut Koplo. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dorsey Valencia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tito Waranggai! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waranggai gets a double leg takedown into Valencia's guard. Valencia looking for a sweep. Not yet Valencia, not yet. Valencia manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Waranggai manages to get himself to full guard.
Valencia controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Valencia has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Waranggai is trying to control the position but Valencia postures up. Valencia controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Waranggai looking for a sweep. Not yet Waranggai, not yet. Waranggai looks winded! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valencia lands a couple of decent looking shots. Valencia stacks Waranggai on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Valencia!

Valencia wants to take the fight to the mat but Waranggai manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Valencia ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Valencia no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Valencia utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Valencia looking to hit a scissor sweep but Waranggai is one step ahead there. Waranggai throwing strikes from guard but Valencia blocks nicely. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Valencia is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Valencia's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Valencia slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Waranggai. Valencia content to control rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waranggai wants to improve his position but Valencia is controlling well.
Valencia not landing any meaningful shots this time. Waranggai is looking for a sweep. Valencia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Valencia scoring with strikes to the body and head. Waranggai is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Valencia is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waranggai tries to get to full guard but Valencia has control of the leg.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Waranggai shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Valencia's guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Waranggai got a little sloppy there for a moment and Valencia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Waranggai has managed to get both his arms back between Valencia's legs - danger averted. Waranggai stopping the sweep attempt from Valencia. Valencia wants to stand and escape but Waranggai is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dorsey Valencia dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Valencia moves into the clinch. Waranggai jumps guard and drags Valencia to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Valencia is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Waranggai can do to turn this around? Waranggai wants to sweep here but Valencia controlling him for the moment. Waranggai keeps trying to improve his position. Waranggai working a defensive guard but Valencia manages to pass into side control anyway.
Valencia lands a decent elbow from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waranggai is trying to get back to half guard. Valencia working the head with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valencia looks up at the clock and then as Waranggai takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Valencia smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Valencia controlling from side mount. Waranggai is breathing heavily. Valencia is putting a hurting on Waranggai here, landing some big shots from side control. Waranggai is trying to escape the position but Valencia is controlling the position. Dorsey Valencia overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Waranggai tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Valencia presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Waranggai tries to get back to half guard but can't. Valencia looking to control and managing it successfully. Valencia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Waranggai on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valencia raining down shots from the mount! Waranggai keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Valencia takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Valencia pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waranggai flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Waranggai really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Dorsey Valencia dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Waranggai feints and as Valencia raises his hands in defense, Waranggai changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Valencia is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Waranggai defends well. Valencia avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Waranggai avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Valencia looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are working up against the cage. Valencia manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Valencia breaks from the clinch.
Waranggai tries to keep at a distance but Valencia has taken the fight into the clinch. Valencia manages to break the clinch.
Waranggai gets the takedown into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Valencia is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valencia is trying to control Waranggai's posture but Waranggai avoids it. Valencia is pushing Waranggai's head away, looking to escape. Waranggai manages to hold on to the position though. Waranggai is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Valencia is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Valencia sneaks back into half guard. Valencia has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Waranggai is on him like a limpet, forcing Valencia back against the cage. Valencia holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Valencia escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Waranggai fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Valencia to the ground. Waranggai is now in Valencia's guard. Waranggai stopping the sweep attempt from Valencia.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valencia can't keep his opponent in guard - Waranggai advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Waranggai prevents Valencia from improving his position. Waranggai is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Valencia has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Waranggai is working away from the top position though. Waranggai slips a nice elbow through Valencia's hands, connecting with Valencia's forehead. Waranggai thows a huge punch but Valencia dodges it nicely.
Valencia is pressing down on Waranggai's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Waranggai won't allow Valencia to sweep him here. Waranggai advances position into side control! Valencia might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Valencia sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Waranggai trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Waranggai missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Waranggai is looking to stand up but Valencia won't let him. Valencia utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Waranggai throws a big elbow that misses. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Valencia tries to land a sweep but no joy. Waranggai keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Valencia's head. Valencia thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Valencia avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Waranggai trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Valencia lands a jab-cross combination. Waranggai looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Valencia wants to stand but Waranggai is controlling the position. Tito Waranggai has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dorsey Valencia is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Valencia is trying to control the position but Waranggai postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Tito Waranggai. Well Valencia has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
