PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiram Zamora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hiram Zamora!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boris Brown!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamora blocks a head kick by Brown.
A jab lands there for Brown.
Brown tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Brown.
As Brown looks to move away, Zamora throws a big counter combo bu Brown just gets out of the way.

Zamora forces Brown back against the cage and clinches.
Zamora wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Brown jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zamora walks away with a smile on his face. Brown gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Zamora.
An elbow from Zamora crashes against the mat.
Zamora remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Brown prevents Zamora from moving into mount.

Brown looks winded!

Zamora tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Zamora working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Zamora just content to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zamora lands a nice forearm strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Brown dodges the ground and pound from Zamora.

Zamora is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brown is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Zamora is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Brown looks calm but he's in trouble here. Zamora gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Brown is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Zamora lets go of the hold and Brown can pop his arm back in it's socket.
