Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ska Asap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quin Kenobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asap changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kenobi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Asap is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kenobi has escaped the position, nice work there.
Asap tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

We've been hearing good reports from Asap's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Asap is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kenobi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kenobi shrugs it off.

Asap is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kenobi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Asap is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kenobi has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kenobi!
