Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Vandrel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vandrel has chosen Tarantula - Pendulum as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Seth Vandrel was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ramon Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seth Vandrel! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vandrel stops Diaz from passing to mount. Vandrel gets back to half guard. Diaz thows a huge punch but Vandrel dodges it nicely.
Vandrel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Diaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vandrel is staying active underneath Diaz, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Vandrel manages to get to full guard.
Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Vandrel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vandrel wants to stand up but Diaz is controlling him. Diaz pushes down on Vandrel's leg and manages to get into half guard. Vandrel tries to roll over but Diaz keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vandrel looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Diaz is keen to just control but Vandrel is a slippery customer. Vandrel wants to improve his position but Diaz is controlling well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Diaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Diaz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vandrel sprawls well initially but Diaz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Diaz controlling the pace. Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Vandrel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vandrel is trying to maintain the position but Diaz is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Diaz in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Vandrel tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vandrel wants to hold on but Diaz pushes him away. Vandrel tries to reverse the position but Diaz maintains control. Vandrel looks gassed! Diaz looking to control but Vandrel is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Vandrel is desperately trying to improve his position but Diaz has a good base and remains in mount. Diaz raining down shots from the mount! Diaz is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz has control of Vandrel's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Vandrel regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Diaz putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Vandrel is looking to improve his position but Diaz isn't that keen on the idea. Vandrel is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Diaz with the ground and pound from mount. Diaz looking to secure an arm triangle but Vandrel defends it well. Diaz has hold of Vandrel's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Vandrel manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Vandrel tries to reverse the position but Diaz maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vandrel tries to lock up and control but Diaz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Vandrel can't escape the position.
Diaz putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! BOOM! Diaz connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Vandrel is desperately trying to improve his position but Diaz has a good base and remains in mount. Diaz trying to control but Vandrel is having none of it. Vandrel tries to get back to half guard but can't. Diaz working the ground and pound effectively.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ramon Diaz dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Diaz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vandrel looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Diaz moves in looking to clinch but Vandrel pushes him off. Vandrel scores with a crisp jab that stopped Diaz in his tracks. Vandrel throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely. Diaz shoots in and bounces Vandrel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Diaz is pushing down on Vandrel's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vandrel is fighting to maintain full guard but Diaz has managed to sneak the leg through. Diaz trying to control the action but Vandrel is working from the bottom. Diaz is really struggling to control Vandrel but he's trying to hold on to the position. Vandrel manages to get to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz won't allow Vandrel to sweep him here. Vandrel is breathing heavily. Diaz wants to control from the top but Vandrel keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vandrel is on top in guard.
Diaz is looking to sweep but instead, Vandrel has passed into half guard.
Vandrel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diaz keeps working. Vandrel thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Diaz wants to get back to full guard. Diaz misses with some strikes from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Vandrel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Diaz defends it well. Diaz trying to control but Vandrel postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Vandrel keeps the fight on the outside. Diaz has closed the distance and engaged Vandrel in a clinch.
Vandrel gets underhooks to prevent Diaz's takedown attempt.

Diaz is trying to drag Vandrel to the mat but Vandrel just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ramon Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vandrel wants to break free but Diaz has control.

Diaz jumps guard but Vandrel stands there with Diaz around his waist. Diaz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vandrel just stands there and leans against the cage. Diaz tries to pull guard but Vandrel won't allow it.
Diaz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vandrel smiles and moves away.
Vandrel tries for a takedown but Diaz circles away easily and Diaz counters by moving into the clinch. Diaz tries for a takedown. No joy.
Diaz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vandrel pulls his leg out and moves away.
Vandrel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Diaz's head backwards. Vandrel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Diaz wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Vandrel.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Vandrel postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Diaz looks a forlorn figure.
Vandrel with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Seth Vandrel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Diaz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Vandrel connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Diaz momentarily.
Vandrel keeps the fight on the outside. Diaz walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Vandrel jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ramon Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vandrel connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Vandrel pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Vandrel looks to throw the jab but Diaz is out of range. Vandrel clobbers Diaz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Vandrel keeps the fight on the outside. Vandrel lands with a straight right. Diaz didn't see that one coming. Diaz shoots in but Vandrel avoids the takedown attempt easily. Diaz moves out of range of the body kick from Vandrel.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz fails in his attempt to clinch. Diaz tries to clinch but Vandrel is having none of it. Diaz shoots in and drives through. Vandrel sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ramon Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vandrel looks for a takedown but Diaz sprawls well. Vandrel misses with a body kick. Diaz has a takedown stuffed. Nice straight punches there by Vandrel. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Vandrel. Vandrel connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Vandrel lands a body shot.
A left and a right from Vandrel both land. Nice combination. A shot to de liver by Vandrel. Beautiful body shot. Some wild striking there from Vandrel.
Diaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Vandrel sprawls well. He's pushed Diaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vandrel shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Vandrel was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Diaz bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Vandrel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diaz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Diaz showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Vandrel has his foot on Diaz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Diaz works his way back into a safe position though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz wants to control from the top but Vandrel keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vandrel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Diaz's guard. Vandrel wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. Vandrel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Diaz manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Vandrel really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Diaz is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Vandrel can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Diaz has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vandrel's face.
Diaz looking to control but Vandrel is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Vandrel regains half guard. Diaz passes to full mount! Vandrel is bucking up trying to escape but Diaz cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Diaz trying to control but he's not successful this time. Diaz thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Seth Vandrel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Vandrel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
