Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micky Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boomerang Farts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Micky Ward had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Micky Ward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boomerang Farts!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward throws a nice looking combination but Farts bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A left lands for Ward.

It looks like Boomerang Farts has been cut.
Farts shoots in for a takedown but Ward shows good takedown defense.
Farts takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Farts looks to land a combination but Ward avoids it well.
Farts tries to clinch there but Ward circles away.
Ward scores with a jab to the jaw.
Ward tests Farts's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ward cracks Farts with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
A punch lands to the side of Farts 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Farts tries to close the distance and clinch but Ward swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ward is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Farts.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Farts tries to clinch up but Ward circles away and keeps his distance.
Farts throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ward stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Farts shoots for a double leg takedown but Ward sprawls well. He's pushed Farts's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Farts misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ward jabs at Farts's body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ward bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Farts pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ward back to the cage. Farts follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Micky Ward has been cut.
Farts gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ward.
Farts takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ward throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Farts throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ward throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Farts tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ward manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A quick step to the side and Ward tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Farts shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Ward lands with an overhand left.
Ward cracks Farts with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

That has opened up Boomerang Farts's cut even more.
Ward lands a nice shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ward fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Farts, pushing him back against the cage.
Farts misses with the head strike.
Farts is trying to break the clinch but Ward has him pressed against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ward lands with a left to the head.
Ward lands a body punch.
Farts tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ward just stands there and leans against the cage.
Micky Ward has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boomerang Farts.
A short right from Ward.

Ward's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ward is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Ward cracks Farts with a right hand to the side of the head.

Farts is rocked!
Ward drops Farts with a naaaaasty hook - Farts is in real trouble here! Ward dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Micky Ward!
A less than humble Micky Ward misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
