The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marks stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marks wants it to stay on the feet. Gurr's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gurr duly obliges.
It looks like Rory Marks has been cut. Marks takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Gurr rushes Marks and presses him up against the cage. Gurr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A combination from Gurr does no damage. Marks tries to counter by clinching up but Gurr breaks away and moves out of range. Gurr connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Marks tumbling to the canvas! Gurr pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Marks was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Joe Gurr!
