PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew MacDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Dotson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think MacDonald might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tarzan Boy - Baltimora. MacDonald has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dotson throws a series of strikes that have MacDonald backpedaling.

It looks like Matthew MacDonald has been cut.
Dotson lands a jab to the nose.
MacDonald throws a low kick but Dotson avoids it.
A low kick from MacDonald is predictable there

and Dotson counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple MacDonald!

MacDonald is rocked!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
MacDonald is breathing heavily.
Dotson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Dotson stands up from half guard.
Dotson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dotson steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! MacDonald is out on his feet! Dotson sets himself and nearly takes MacDonald's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
