Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Asa Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raphael Sanzio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raphael Sanzio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Asa Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raphael Sanzio!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Darius Henderson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanzio closes the distance and clinches.

Sanzio breaks the clinch.
Raphael Sanzio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanzio slaps away a takedown attempt from Snow, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sanzio appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Sanzio drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Snow fails in his attempt to clinch.
Snow dodges the punch combination from Sanzio.
Sanzio fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanzio fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Snow avoids it really well and circles away.
Asa Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raphael Sanzio.

Sanzio looking to score a takedown here. Snow is defending well but Sanzio drives through and ends up in Snow's guard.

Snow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sanzio looking to sit in guard and control but Snow gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sanzio controls Snow momentarily but Snow frees himself.
Sanzio tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Snow trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanzio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Snow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Sanzio working a defensive guard but Snow manages to pass into side control anyway.
Sanzio is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Snow tries for a kimura but Sanzio is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanzio is trying to get back to half guard.
Snow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
You can see the frustration on Sanzio's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sanzio is trying to get back to half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Sanzio lands a left and a right that sends Snow crashing to the canvas! Sanzio dives into mount looking to finish!


It looks like Asa Snow has been cut.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sanzio working for a guillotine from mount but Snow is in no mood to give up.
Sanzio wants to control the pace but Snow is squirming around nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Snow sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Sanzio throws a big elbow that misses.
Snow keeping moving, preventing Sanzio from controlling successfully.
Sanzio looking to sit in guard and control but Snow gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Sanzio manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Snow keeping moving, preventing Sanzio from controlling successfully.

Sanzio postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Sanzio forces his way into half guard.

Sanzio decides to stand and escape the position.
Snow leaves Sanzio with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Sanzio shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Snow is trying to defend but Sanzio finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sanzio wants to take a breather but Snow is having none of it.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sanzio in particular looking to stall.
Sanzio throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Snow tries to roll over but Sanzio keeps him under control.
Sanzio with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Sanzio is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Snow has managed to free his arm - good work.
Snow is looking to improve his position.
Snow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sanzio lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Sanzio is working for a kimura but Snow is defending it quite comfortably.
Sanzio blocks the strikes from Snow.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sanzio looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sanzio is looking to take a break and control but Snow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raphael Sanzio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Snow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Sanzio tries to score a power double leg takedown but Snow sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sanzio somewhat.
Asa Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raphael Sanzio.
Sanzio tries a head kick but it misses.
As Sanzio tries to get set, Snow tries to push him back and clinch up but Sanzio manages to avoid the attempt.
Sanzio takes a jab right on the kisser.

and Snow counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Snow finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Sanzio's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Snow falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raphael Sanzio!
