Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Viserys Targaryen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Burke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burke has chosen Manish Boy as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Viserys Targaryen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, James Burke! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burke closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Burke controls the position. Burke tries for a kimura but Targaryen is defending well. Targaryen is looking for a sweep. Burke has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Targaryen! Burke landing shots from mount. Burke connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Targaryen is trying to escape the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burke punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burke throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Targaryen tries to get back to half guard but can't. Burke misses with a head shot. Targaryen blocking the ground and pound. Burke can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Targaryen is looking to escape. Burke lands a big elbow. Burke with good strikes from the mount here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burke landing punches. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Burke looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Burke can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Targaryen is looking to escape. Poor strikes thrown by Burke there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Targaryen working to try and regain half guard.
Burke lands with some strikes. Targaryen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Targaryen is looking for a sweep. Burke is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burke tries to pass the half guard into mount. Targaryen knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Targaryen actively working from the bottom here. Burke looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Targaryen is not content to let Burke control the position. Targaryen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Targaryen. Targaryen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Burke got a little sloppy there for a moment and Targaryen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Burke has managed to get both his arms back between Targaryen's legs - danger averted. Targaryen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Burke escapes and throws Targaryen's legs to the side, diving into side control! The ground and pound from Burke seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Targaryen takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

James Burke dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
A nice leg kick lands there from Burke. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Burke. Targaryen shrugs it off though. Burke does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Targaryen changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Targaryen lunges at Burke with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Burke's hand. Burke on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Burke looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Targaryen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burke manages to avoid it. Targaryen looks to score with a jab to the body but Burke is just out of range. Targaryen misses with a body shot.
Burke is looking to score with low kicks. Burke has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Targaryen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Burke lands with a right to the head. Targaryen throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Targaryen tries a body shot but Burke blocks it.
Targaryen wants to stall.
Burke tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Targaryen tries to work over Burke's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Burke has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Targaryen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burke using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Targaryen has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

A right hook to the body lands for Targaryen.
Targaryen just leaning against Burke, taking a breather. Targaryen doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Targaryen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Targaryen trying to control the position but instead, Burke has worked for underhooks and has pushed Targaryen into the cage. Burke tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Targaryen's elbow. Burke with a knee to the head.
Burke decides to pull guard. Targaryen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Burke wants to sweep here but Targaryen controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burke keeping moving, preventing Targaryen from controlling successfully. Targaryen cracks Burke with a solid left hand. Burke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Targaryen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Targaryen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Burke is trying to keep Targaryen in close.
Our spies down at at ~T~ Troid - Gym inform us that Burke has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Targaryen working some strikes from top position. Burke has his foot on Targaryen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Targaryen works his way back into a safe position though. Targaryen works over Burke with some ground and pound from guard. Targaryen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

That was a close second round but I would say that Viserys Targaryen will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Burke tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Targaryen swivels and escapes. Targaryen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Burke stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Burke avoids the body shot from Targaryen.
Targaryen avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Targaryen motions for Burke to come forward. Targaryen throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Targaryen takes a swing at Burke's ribcage but misses. Burke drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Targaryen defends it well. Burke takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Targaryen throws a leg kick but Burke checks it. Targaryen avoids the head kick by Burke.
A looping hook to the body misses from Targaryen. Burke does a little dance to reset his feet. Good leg kick by Burke there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Burke ducks right into an uppercut from Targaryen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Burke connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Burke throws a solid leg kick but Targaryen takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Burke. Targaryen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burke.
Targaryen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Burke tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Targaryen is in Burke's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Targaryen tries to free his leg and advance position but Burke is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Targaryen passes Burke's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Burke trying to control from the bottom.
Burke wants to get back to full guard. Burke is refusing to be controlled, as Targaryen sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Burke is trying to get back to full guard. Burke moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Burke has momentary wrist control but Targaryen slips an elbow through the middle. Burke is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Burke manages to regain half guard. Good work. Burke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Targaryen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Targaryen sitting and controlling from the half guard. Burke wants to improve his position but Targaryen is controlling well.
Burke is trying to maintain the position but Targaryen is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Targaryen is trying to control. Burke wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Targaryen stalling. Targaryen wants to take a breather but Burke is having none of it. Targaryen controlling the pace. Burke is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Burke is staying active underneath Targaryen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
