Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Humberto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reesalo Cherubim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Humberto fails to land with a series of punches.
Cherubim only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Humberto takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Cherubim ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cherubim no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Cherubim escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Humberto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cherubim is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Humberto moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cherubim shoots in but no luck this time.
Humberto throws a big counter combination but Cherubim scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Humberto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Humberto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cherubim defends it nicely.
Cherubim follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Cherubim looks to score with a jab to the body but Humberto is just out of range.
It looked like Humberto was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cherubim might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Humberto haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Cherubim must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Humberto has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cherubim can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Humberto is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cherubim's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cherubim's back!

I really don't envy Cherubim right now.

You can see the frustration on Cherubim's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
