Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Bauwens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Guitar Blues!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blues tries for a takedown but Bauwens circles away easily
and Bauwens counters with a two punch combo.
Blues takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Blues fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Blues with a lazy takedown attempt
letting Bauwens counter with a right hand.
Dave Bauwens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guitar Blues.
Blues shoots in for a takedown but Bauwens shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bauwens tried to counter with a leg kick but Blues avoided it.
Blues shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bauwens counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Blues is rocked!
Bauwens connects with a nice cross there... Blues is looking wobbly and Bauwens recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Blues to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Bauwens jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
