Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ardian Kurniawan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramsey Garner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ardian Kurniawan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ardian Kurniawan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ramsey Garner!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garner scores with a takedown into Kurniawan's guard.
Garner slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kurniawan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kurniawan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garner tries to avoid it but Kurniawan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garner to the ground. Garner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Garner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kurniawan napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Kurniawan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Kurniawan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Garner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kurniawan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kurniawan enables Garner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kurniawan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Kurniawan is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Garner with him. Garner is trying to defend but Kurniawan has an arm under the chin now! Garner grimaces and is forced to tap out!
