Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Barbaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartosz Gajtkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barbaro kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fight - Future World Music. On his way into the cage it seems that Joe Barbaro has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Joe Barbaro seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Barbaro.
Barbaro fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No joy there for Gajtkowski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gajtkowski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gajtkowski swings for the body but Barbaro moves out of range.
Barbaro scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Barbaro misses the shot to the body.
Gajtkowski's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gajtkowski duly obliges.


It looks like Joe Barbaro has been cut.
Barbaro lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Gajtkowski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Barbaro manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gajtkowski has Barbaro in his guard.


Gajtkowski looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Barbaro has picked Gajtkowski up and slammed him! Gajtkowski can't keep hold of the triangle and Barbaro manages to pass to side control!

Gajtkowski is looking for a sweep.
The referee asks Barbaro politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Barbaro prefers to stall for the moment though.

Barbaro tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

We've been told by Barbaro's head coaches at Xtreme HGH Fight Club (best in Amsterdam) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

It looked like Barbaro was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
