The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valeron throws a nice looking combination but Qasi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Valeron waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Qasi.
Qasi with a lazy takedown attempt
and Valeron counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Qasi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Qasi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Valeron can pounce on him.
Azar Qasi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Qasi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Azar Qasi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice sprawl there from Valeron as Qasi shoots in.
Valeron swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Qasi.
Valeron gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Qasi looking to sit in guard and control but Valeron gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Valeron seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Qasi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Qasi is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Valeron is tapping! Great win for Qasi!
