Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mia St John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St John comes to the cage accompanied by The Bitch is back. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mayo's choice of entrance music: Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever. Chris Mayo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mia St John!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
32 - 31 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Chris Mayo!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St John checks a low kick from Mayo.
St John with a poor takedown
and Mayo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from St John.
Mayo doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
St John tries for a takedown but Mayo circles away easily
and Mayo counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mia St John. That's going to take a lot out of him.
St John tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mayo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten St John somewhat.
St John fails with the takedown
and Mayo counters with a nice uppercut.

and Mayo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mayo tests St John's chin there with a solid looking shot.
St John fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mayo looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
No luck for St John with that takedown attempt.
St John shoots and misses
and Mayo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Mayo throws a head kick but St John moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mayo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by St John or perhaps it was just good defense by Mayo, which made it look bad.

Mayo cracks St John with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Oh St John is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mayo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from St John is defended easily by Mayo.
St John misses with a takedown
and Mayo counters with a stiff right hand.

and Mayo scores with a counter punch that sends St John to the canvas! Mayo smells blood - he's punishing St John with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! St John has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
