The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva has his takedown stuffed
and Slice cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Slice throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Da Silva looks to land a body kick but Slice moved away.
Slice lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Da Silva backs up against the cage.
A solid leg kick lands there for Slice.
Kimbo Slice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slice rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Da Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Da Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Slice lands with an overhand left.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slice blocks the body kick.
Slice's coach down at HARD WORK!! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Slice's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Slice lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Da Silva at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Da Silva.
Da Silva is looking to clinch.
Da Silva looks for a takedown but Slice sprawls well.

Slice lands a leg kick that knocks Da Silva off balance momentarily.
Slice fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Da Silva.

Slice tries a head kick but it misses.
Slice moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Da Silva is breathing heavily.

Slice connects with a leg kick. Da Silva looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Da Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Slice swivels and escapes.
Slice chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Da Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Slice ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Slice scores with a head kick. Da Silva tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Da Silva is rocked!
Slice lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Da Silva is looking to close the distance but Slice sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Da Silva crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Da Silva is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
